FAQs
What counts as a family?
For these games, a 'family' is any group connected by biological relationships, guardianship, meaningful care, spiritual relationships, or even a close group of friends formed within the church community. It's about shared responsibility, genuine connection, and belonging — not just structure.
What family compositions are accepted?
  • Traditional Family
  • Single Parent + Extended Relatives
  • Grandparents & Grandchildren
  • Siblings & Cousins
  • Guardian with Children
  • Blended Family
  • Extended Family Group
  • Spiritual Family
  • Relatives + Close Family Friends
  • Dgroup Family
What is a Traditional Family?
A Traditional Family consists of a mother, father, and their children living together as one household.
What is a Spiritual Family?
A Spiritual Family is a group of people who are not biologically related but are deeply connected through shared faith. This includes discipleship groups, mentorship circles, small groups, cell groups, and close church accountability groups. They are fully recognized as a family for these games.
What is a Blended Family?
A Blended Family is formed when a husband and wife, each bringing children from a previous relationship, come together to form a new household. This includes couples where one or both spouses become stepparents to the other's children.
What is an Extended Family Group?
An Extended Family Group goes beyond the immediate household and includes relatives such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins — multiple generations who are closely connected and actively share in each other's lives.
FAQs
What is the minimum number of participants per family?
Each registered family must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5 members to participate. This ensures every team has the energy and presence to fully engage in all activities.
Can we combine with others to complete our group?
Yes — absolutely! You are encouraged to partner with relatives, friends, or fellow church members to form a complete group of four or more. Reach out to your small group, Sunday school class, or discipleship circle.
Is there an age requirement per group?
Yes. Each group must have at least one adult present. This ensures every family team is properly guided and supervised throughout the challenge.
I'm joining alone — can I still participate?
Yes! Register as a solo joiner and we will group you together with other solo joiners so you can form a complete team. No one gets left behind!
FAQs
🦺 How will we know who the facilitators are?
Facilitators will be wearing a CCF Volunteer vest. Look out for them at each station — they'll be ready to guide you through the game and hand over your puzzle piece once you've completed the challenge.
What happens if we don't finish all 5 games in time?
Before the end of 2 hours, non-finishers will return to the plenary. Budget your time wisely across all 5 stations!
What do finishers receive?
Families who complete all 5 games and assemble the full puzzle will receive a finishers medal!
I have a medical condition — can I still join?
As much as we want everyone to join, we would like to err on the side of caution. This activity may involve brisk walking or running from the CCF Main Hall to Terra Park on 28th Street and Track 30th, and back to the CCF Main Hall again. Please consult your doctor before participating if you have any medical concerns.
💧 Is water provided?
There are water stations at the CCF Hall. Please bring your water bottles, fill them up, and run the race!
👟 What should I wear?
Please wear clothes you are most comfortable to run in and wear running shoes. Bring a towel to dry your sweat — and don't forget to put on sunblock just in case!
🗺️ Why are the game instructions shared in advance?
That's intentional! We want you to use this as an opportunity to strategize and bond with your family before the big day. Feel free to simulate the race as a group — walk through each game, talk about your roles, and get a feel for your timing together. The more you prepare as a family, the more meaningful the experience will be on race day. Remember, the goal is to bond with your family. Winning is just a bonus! 🏆
🌧️ What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
No worries! In the event of rain, all 5 games will be conducted within the premises of CCF BGC. The race goes on — rain or shine!
📅 When is the registration deadline?
Registration closes on June 7, 2026 — and spots are very limited! This race is open to only 20 teams, so don't wait. Gather your family now and secure your slot before it's too late!
See You There!
Ready to Run the Race? 🏁
Gather your family, bring your energy, and get ready for The Most Amazing Family Race! Remember — it's not just about winning. It's about the journey, the laughter, and the memories you'll make together.
